Head Over Heels - Review - Jewellery from ETSY

Hello lovelies!

I’ve got a review in store for you today of a few items I bought from a seller on Etsy. As many of you know Etsy is a place where talented craftspeople make and sell many beautiful items. Handmade jewellery happens to be the one that catches my eye the most.

I am left in awe of various collections and pieces from certain sellers. However, the only off putting thing about Etsy can be the high prices. I have fallen in love with many a necklace, glanced down at the price and immediately exited the page to avoid a further dent in my bank balance!

The items I will be reviewing are from Etsy seller “laceinspring” based in Hong Kong. I bought a resin lovebird ring and camera earrings.

The resin lovebird ring was priced at $6.50 which is the equivalent of € 5.16. The pale pink resin is surrounded by bronzed metal that winds around the finger which gives the ring an antique feel. I absolutely love this ring and the ring is alloy adjustable which is perfect for online buyers.

The camera earrings are absolutely to die for! The craftsmanship of the earrings is superb. The level of detail undertaken by this seller is admirable as the fine camera detailing is accurate to a tee. The earrings cost $1.99 which is the equivalent of €1.58.

These beautiful, affordable items were shipped all the way from Hong Kong to Ireland for $6.98 (€5.55) and it look a little under 2 weeks which is fair enough. I browsed through the sellers store and there are literally hundreds of pieces to choose from at very reasonable extremely affordable rates. I will definitely be purchasing from “laceinspring” again and I have told all my friends about the store.

Hands On The Wheel - 17 Va Va Voom Mascara Review

Hi there!

Today I would like to do a review on a product that has really let me down; 17 VA VA Voom Mascara.

I bought this product on offer for €7 in my locals Boots. To be honest, it was a complete impulse buy! I was drawn in by the cute graffiti packaging, low price and the name. With a name like that one would expect to have false looking lashes with a few strokes of a wand. Little did I know I would be severely let down.

I bought it in "Blackest black volume mascara." The colour is undeniably black, so no surprises there. I applied it to the lash expecting a volumizing effect and to be honest my lashes were pretty much the same as their untouched sister! I had to keep dipping my wand back into the container and try to layer my lashes with this product. Even when I used loads the effect was certainly not Va Va Voom!

It feels like i've run out of mascara to be honest and it's brand new! The wand is pretty standard. What surprises me is that the product seems to stick to certain areas of the wand in a gloopy formation. Repeated application results in clumping which leaves me a sad ladybug.

Completely unhappy with this product. I don't even like wearing it on a quiet day in!

Have you tried this out? What do you think of 17 products?

Miles Away - Topshop and H by Henry Holland Haul

Howdy guys!

I've been a busy Tinkerbell this week! Between trying to get a lot of last minute study in for my third year exams, celebrating one of my good friend's 21st (which put a huge dent in my weekend!)and working I'm exhausted.

But not to worry I've got a lovely haul for you guys today!
All of these items I was lucky enough to find on sale!
I guess I shall begin with the Topshop items;

(Sorry the picture will not upload in the correct direction)

So as you can see I've purchased a pair of Gold Ankh Cross Earrings. I picked these bad boys up for about €1.50 which is a steal for these Egyptian style pieces! The next piece is a gold, circular flat top ring with a white triangle in the centre. I can't remember exactly how much I got this ring for but it was VERY reasonable and under €5. Lastly, for the jewellery I got the CUTEST pastel pink filled anchor studs! I got these for €1.50 too and I haven't taken them off. They are so retro with a cute hairband and dash of pink lippie!

Next, I got a leopard print tank top with the subtle peace sign in the middle in a Size 10. This top was only €18 which is hard to say no to. I usually wouldn't be the biggest fan of leopard print but lately i'm being to come around to it. The thing with this piece is that the arm holes come in quite far to the chest so you have to go bra-less or strapless. It also helps if you have a small chest.

Love heart detailed playsuit from H by Henry Holland picked up in Debenhams.

I picked this adorable playsuit up in Debenhams while it was on Sale! I ended up having to pay (GET THIS) only €23.40! How good is that? I picked it up in a Size 8 which I am by no means, however I do feel some of the H by Henry sizes are generous enough sizes. This is a gorgeous, summery piece which i cannot wait to team up with the anchor earrings perhaps when the weather gets a bit better though.

I got 10% student discount on all the Topshop stuff too which was very generous of them.

I cannot wait to wear the playsuit !

What do you guys think?

As I said before I'm wrapped up at the moment but if you do wish to follow my daily rambles I post on my Tumblr quite often www.feedmesilver.tumblr.com

Thanks a million for reading

Oh Yeah, Oh yeahhhhhhhhhh!

This weekend, while I should have been hiding in the corner of a library somewhere getting some much needed study done, I went to one of the best gigs I've been to in a while: The Subways.

Doors opened at 7.30pm and it was held in The Academy in Dublin. Tickets were only €14 too! I received mine as a Christmas pressie so I was delighted as they are one of my favourite bands.

After a few sneaky drinks I entered the venue at around 8pm with my friends and boyfriend. We ran upstairs to be greeted by the opening act which were an Irish bands called The Funeral Suits. These lads are a four-piece band with some heavily distorted guitars mixed with electronica at times. Some catchy tunes led to some serious moves by us four and I even bought a T-Shirt later on that night!

There was a brief intermission and then the atmosphere changed. The minute the band stepped on stage the people in the crowd just started going mental. Frontman Billy, had a look of pure joy on his face as they start strumming the first tune! We wormed our way to the front of the intimate gig and just in time too, as mosh pits started from one end of the venue to the other. It was like we, the people, were their batteries because the louder, messier and out of control the crowd got the more energy the band got!

This was by no means a laid back, chilled gig to attend! It was high energy and manic all the way through! He referred to Dublin as being "fucking mental" countless times throughout the night. Not only did the crowd love to give him buckets of desired attention but they were chanting for Charlotte and Josh!

The climax was when Billy climbed onto the railings above and nosedived into the crowd! It honestly was one of the best gigs I have ever been to. They made you feel like it was a couple of your mates up there playing a set due to the relaxed security, small setting and the fact that I was so close didn't hurt either.
I was jumping around like a maniac for the whole night; headbanging and all sorts. I was even lucky enough to catch the drumstick at the end of the night.

To me that sounds like all the best ingredients for a successful gig!

Mini Haul

Hello there (If anyone is out there!)

I'm going to do a quick haul post.
Last week I was lucky enough to get some lovely gifts from a friend of mine!
Oki doki so let's get crackin'

The first item I have wanted for a while now. A Topshop Striped shirt. It was €58 which is a bit pricey to be honest! I absolutely love it. When I wore it out first, for some reason I felt like a coal miner. Weird huh? My friend described the fit as very pyjama-esque! SO I decided to match it with black, dramatic, smokey eyes and I teamed that with a bright pink lip to add a bit of a feminine touch to it!

The second item I received is the MAC Creme Blusher. This beautiful product was €21.50 and is in the shade So Sweet, So Easy. This is a bright candy pink that is absolutely stunning on. I'll do a review if you would like another time!

The final item is Topshop necklace. It cost €18.50 which again is far too steep for a necklace! I probably would have waited til it went on sale myself. Needless to say, it is a beautiful piece which I have been wearing constantly! It's light and playful so it can be added to a lot of outfits!

What do you guys think of the items?

Would you like me to do a review on MAC's So Sweet, So Easy?

Lemme know!

Rag top, Chrome Pipes

Hello there!

This post will be about a product that has let me down a little to be honest. :(
I was in the Make Up Forever store in Dublin there a couple of weeks ago oogling...well everything!

The prices can be fairly steep in there so unfortunately I never jump to but anything immediately. I tend to hover around the shop with an angel and devil on both shoulders advising me what to do.
On this particular day the devil was getting the better of me so I headed in to fawn over the HD Blush collection.

Very kindly, the shop assistant offered me a sample of the HD Blush in the shade H13 Light Pink. She's probably seen me around the shop so much she just wanted to get rid of me!

As you can see this is a liquid blush in a VERY light pink shade. The lady was so generous with the amount she gave that I still have some weeks later.

Things I loved...

So I applied the blush sparely on my cheekbone up to my temple and blended it with my Sigma Duo-Fibre brush. The texture was beautifully creamy and easy to gently smooth out with the brush.
There was an instant pop of this candy, dolly pink on my cheek and I loved it!

So there i was delighted with myself until a couple of hours later I notice the blush had faded significantly.
I was so annoyed! The bottle of HD Blush goes for €26 a bottle. To be honest I wouldn't pay that for it if you're gonna have to reapply throughout the day.

I'm left wondering if perhaps if it was a different shade, maybe a darker shade would it last longer?
Until then i'm left with a product I was so excited about that let me down.

Have you guys tried a darker shade? Let me know what you think?
